We welcome enquiries from potential staff or volunteers for our specialist female-only supported accomodation service. The service is already providing life-changing person-centred support through purpose-built supported housing. We have a small team which is instrumental in the delivery of the service. TK offers a rare opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art service.
We currently have the following vacancies:
Supported Housing Support Worker
Permanent contract - Salary £26,227.50 - Full time 37.5hours a week
Talitha Koum is seeking a compassionate, dedicated and motivated Female Support Worker to join our team at The TK Hope Centre.
As part of our dedicated support team, you will have the opportunity to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of women rebuilding their confidence, developing essential life skills and working towards independent living
Working as part of a small and dedicated team, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred support to residents, helping them to rebuild their confidence, develop essential life skills and work towards independent living.
Main office hours are 9-5, but the role requires weekend working on a rota basis, and 2nd on-call duties on a rota.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing day-to-day practical and emotional support to residents.

Supporting residents to improve wellbeing, develop confidence and increase independence.

Encouraging participation in activities, education, training and employment opportunities.

Maintaining accurate records, case notes and reports.

Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and resident wellbeing at all times.

Liaising with external agencies and professionals involved in residents' support.

Supporting the smooth running of the service and contributing positively to the life of the residential community

Volunteers
Unpaid, Part Time, Based in Witnesham (near Ipswich)
Can you spare a few hours per month to provide support at The Hope Centre? Various roles are available for volunteers to help with the regular activities on site and to share meals. Full training and support are provided. For more information please contact us on 01473 354200 or admin@talithakoum.org.uk Volunteers must be over 18.
Trustees
We are looking for experienced people who share our vision of TK to become trustees. We have six trustees who normally meet six times a year, though there are intermediate discussions. In particular, we are looking for people who have skills or experience in the following areas:
· working with vulnerable adults or young people
· the wider care sector
· Pastoral care or counselling
· PR & Communications
